What's in the Name?

Homeless man outside a Paris Metro Station       Our founder created nineteen05 a little over a year after returning from a year of mission work in south-western France. While he was there he had the opportunity to experience a celebration service for the hundredth anniversary of the Law of 1905.

This law declared that the state and church were now legally separated. This, while meeting some initial resistance, freed up the church to get even more accomplished. It allowed them to raise money, giving them more financial resources than those the state was ever willing to pay. It could also function autonomously from the state by electing their own bishops and leaders.Eglise de la Duraude, a Church in South Eastern France

We choose this for our name (nineteen05) as a symbol of our goal, to free up our customers to do more by taking down barriers. These barriers may not  have even appeared to be barriers before, but those who use our software will wonder how they ever made it without us. Non-profit organizations are under a constant dilemma of having more people to help than they can reach, and they all too often can't reach them because of a lack of resources.

Our goal is to help you do more, and we plan on doing this by helping you make the most of the resources you currently have.
